With her eyes beginning to adjust in the dimly lit chamber, she took in her surroundings, and the strange man before her. The tunnel they were in was made of stone, and was soon lit by the eerie glow of a red lantern the man started. He asked her to sing, she grudginly obliged. She had no other choice. Down this road under the streets of Paris, she was a prisoner. A captive of a deranged lunatic with a thirst for the honey that was her voice. The black steed whinied and walked on, unled. The beast was walking without his master's hand.
Their twisted duet rang out in the passage, sending other creatures scurrying away, as the clawed being strode next to a hoofed mount. Christine had little or no idea, that she was now held in the clutches of a demon.

Okay, so I can solve the riddle, but the symbol still escapes me...I see no symbol in either of the two yet *laugh* perhaps I am missing the obvious...

I love his comment on looking so normal. And the shading here is exquisite, amazing detail.
