This ball was an exceptional affair, given some time before Shrovetide, in honour of the anniversary of the birth of a famous draftsman; and it was expected to be much gayer, noisier, more Bohemien than the ordinary masked ball. Numbers of artists had arranged to go, accompanied by a whole cohort of models and pupils, who, by midnight, began to create a tremendous din. Raoul climbed the grand staircase at five mintues to twelve and did not linger to look at the motley dresses displayed all the way up the marble steps. ~~~
*Collapses* Wow. . . . So many hours went into this, I don't think I've ever spent this much time on one page before. *Sigh* You all better like this one. I painted everything myself except for that shot of the Garnier. Aside from that, this is all me. . . . I wanted to challenge myself with my favourite scene, and sure enough, I did challenge myself. Now my hand hurts, and I've found out that the Airbrush is the most amazing creation ever!!
And yes. I'm cheap. And lazy. I used an actual paragraph of the book for the snippet. It's only 'cause I wanted to post this and I'm exhausted.
Btw, that girl in black and red is based off my friend Kiley. Who's been a Phan of BN for so long, I can't even remember. x3; I'll be editing this and putting up an updated pic in a little while.
Enjoy!! And leave comments! Ya know ya wanna!!

I really like Raoul's mask, as well as the guy's in the far right top panel.
And I am actually kinda proud of Raoul's outfit, honestly.
