BN-Pg20-Where?

When the darkness faded away, the young girl woke to find a damp cloth pressed to her forehead and a pair of gleaming eyes baring down into her. She looked up at the death's face and questioned it. The face let out a long sigh that sounded like a sad sob. The black being lifted her up onto a steed she knew well. It was Cèsar, the dark horse.
Christine asked where was her angel, Erik. For she had never seen him face to face before, and knew not what this man's answer would do to her.
The death's head replied as it removed the skull, which was not it's face at all. Two sad, mismatched eyes sat above a fang-rimmed mouth that said to her softly, "There is no one else but I, who answers to that name. I am Erik."
The young girl stared transfixedly, as the First Act comes to a close.
