It's been over a month since my last journal? Guess I didn't notice. Sorry, guys!
But not much to report. Halloween came and went. It rained like hell that night! None of us were too happy, and there just weren't that many trick-or-treaters. Not a single Elsa though! I was shocked!!
Anyway. As you all know, the holiday season is well upon us. As a non-working, full-time student, I have no income.
I've been living with Chris and his family for a year now. Because they took me in during on of the hardest times in my life, I really want to be able to get them stuff for Christmas as a thank you.
I need to write out a list of what to get. But, point is. I have no money!
Even if none of you can commission me, could you spread the word maybe? I mean, if someone wants to commission me to do a gift for someone else, I'd say everyone wins in that situation! [Be sure to mention that!]
I'm wide open for anything. Whether its digital or traditional.

In other news.
If any of you are keeping up with Cross, I'm reminding you all that there's going to be an upcoming hiatus next month. With my birthday, an anniversary, Christmas/New Years, and countless parties, I can't keep up with updates.
But there will be a Christmas special. So there's that to keep an eye out for!

Oops...
It's April already??? Ah crap.... So... Well, I'm not sure what to do anymore. I just haven't had the motivation to draw much of anything lately. Even though I have lots of ideas bopping around in my head. Anyway. I still haven't found a job, for some weird reason. I've only applied to jobs I know I'm qualified for!! But no one ever calls me back. Even after what feels like a pretty good interview. However, I did find something that might really help me in the future. I got an internship at a local wildlife center!! Unpaid, I'm sad to say. Though there's a really good chance of it turning into a job at the end. Even if it doesn't, I'd get some good job recommendations and such. Aside from all that, I'm learning a lot really fast!! There's a lot more to it that I won't bore you all with. Just thought I'd pop in on the month of my 20th anniversary here on devART.... I still can't believe I've been part of this place for so long!?!? Dunno if I'll keep sticking around or not. I keep
Going into 2024!!
Heeeyy!!! I hope you all had a great holiday season!!!!! I've had better months... A lot of life has happened. I'm up and walking again. Just trying to get my strength back. Got a new dog... Not exactly planned. But it was either she was sent to a shelter, or she comes live with us. (She's my two boys' sister) Then I was also let go from my job last week... Which I don't think was legal. I need to talk to someone and ask. So, I'm job hunting... Yay. So yeah. Anyway. That's a lot of total BS I'm not going to make any of you read. I did want to say again how sorry I am that I haven't been making art... I just ended up in a bit of a rut, I guess. And not being able to get onto my desktop hasn't helped at all. I do like my tablet, sorta. I just haven't gotten the right workflow figured out. Plus, I'm worried about trying to make any comic pages on it. I don't know if it has the right amount of memory space for how many layers I tend to use... I just need to try, I know. I made one
Another Life Update
EDIT: I had the surgery. I was so nervous, but at least my team was really great and answered my questions about the process and such... So, I'm home recovering. Been having a lot of anxiety about not getting to go back to my job. They had to hire people to cover my shifts. So, yeah, I get it. But it's still really concerning.... Hey all... Again, not dead. But... I did break my leg. I was out hiking with my ecology class, and I was doing fine all day!! I was climbing up and down rocks, going down into a ravine to reach the water's edge, up and down hills, and it was a beautiful hike!! I was coming back at the end, and I was literally only 20 feet from the parking lot, and I made a small turn toward the picnic table area to sit with my classmates, and I slipped on a patch of gravel!?! Gravel!?!?!?!? I've fallen off horses, gotten tripped by dogs... and this is what does me in??? I've never broken a bone in my life!!!! AGH!!!! Needless to say, I'm really annoyed. I haven't gotten any
Checking Back In
Hey!! I'm sorry for the radio silence again. But it's just that same old song. I work too hard, and I have little motivation for anything else... I had been working two jobs, and finishing up the school semester. So, needless to say, I had burned myself out. The secondary job let me go around Memorial Day. It's fine! It was seasonal position that I didn't want to stay at for too long anyway. My main job at the doggy daycare has kept me busier since then. Like, this week I'm actually scheduled to be there for two overnight shifts. It's not a thing that we do super often. I think the last time was right around Christmas. Anyway. So I'm off for more days than usual this week. Just trying to catch my breath today. So, even though I haven't been drawing much, I actually have gotten pretty decent with my crocheting. I have a market this weekend, so I'm trying to finish more stuff. Don't have a lot of little things available. If anyone wants to see some of my stuff, here's my IG:
